With special permission and support from the Paul Green Foundation, this poetic tale gets a much overdue NY revival. The play shows us an iconic struggle: the last dying gasps of the Old South as it tries to prevent the progression of new ideas.

The Property of a Distinguished American Private Collector Parts l and ll were blockbuster sales with a distressed letter from Vincent van Gogh selling for $336,000 and an internationally sought after Marilyn Monroe letter addressed to Lee Strasberg in which she wrote about the phycological toll Hollywood has taken on her. The letter written in pencil was estimated to sell between $30,000-50,000 and sold for $156,000.

The play is presented by the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and the Lee Strasberg Center in collaboration with NYU Tisch School of the Arts Undergraduate Department of Drama.

Wayward son Will Connelly, heir to the famous Connelly estate finds himself unable to live up to the prestige of the legendary Connelly's of the past. When a new tenant farmer arrives with his daughter Patsy, is it love at first site or does she have her calculating eyes on becoming the new Mrs. Connelly? The struggle between tradition and change, black and white and truth versus secrets come to a shocking conclusion. Though the Group made Mr. Green rewrite the ending to make it more hopeful, the ReGroup will be presenting Mr. Green's original ending. It is sure to be jaw dropping even after 80 years.

Chazz Palminteri will return to Providence with his critically acclaimed hit A Bronx Tale. The show will play for one night only at The VETS on March 1st, 2014.
