The French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, and The French Theatrical Foundation (FTF) are thrilled to present the New York premiere of Les correspondances de Marie-Antoinette, a one-woman show starring Moliere Award-winning actress Barbara Schulz and directed by Katherine Adamov, on Thursday, October 24 at 8pm at FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.

Telemundo Studios is proud to announce that film and television actor Sebastián Zurita will join the network's talented roster of artists as the star of the upcoming original production “La Impostora.” Son of well-known actors Humberto Zurita and Christian Bach, the young leading man is known for his roles in the telenovelas “En Nombre del Amor” and “Corazón Salvaje.” He made his television debut at age 11 in the iconic telenovela “Cañaveral de Pasiones,” produced by his famous parents. On the big screen, his most recent films include “Ciudadano Buelna” and “Ángel Caido.”

Obwohl der Erfolg des Films „Ziemlich beste Freunde' noch gar nicht lange zuruckliegt, ist sein Titel bereits zum stehenden Begriff geworden: So uberschrieb beispielsweise die Tageszeitung DIE WELT vor kurzem eine Geschichte uber Franz Josef Strauß und Erich Honecker mit: „Wie aus Todfeinden ziemlich beste Freunde wurden'.
Die Konstellation der beiden Politiker ist ahnlich wie die des Querschnittgelahmten und seines Pflegers im Film: Sie konnten kaum unterschiedlicher sein.

NAATCO to Open 24th Season with AWAKE & SING, 8/16-9/8

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theater Company, will kick off their 24th season with Clifford Odets's Awake & Sing! Stephen Fried directs an all-Asian American cast that includes Sanjit de Silva, Mel Duane Gionson, Andrew Ramcharan Guilarte, Mia Katigbak, Teresa Avia Lim, Jon Norman Schneider, David Shih, Alok Tewari, and Henry Yuk. This Off-Broadway limited engagement will begin August 16th at Walker Space (46 Walker Street) and continue through September 8th only. Opening Night is set for August 21st (8pm).

This program, entitled The Acting Intensive, will be the newest addition to Rubicon's extensive offering of summer educational workshops. Now celebrating their 11th year, these programs have focused on developing skills and techniques such as: basic theatre terminology, confidence building, stage presence, proper voice techniques, developing an awareness of body language through character work, and other fundamental techniques through improvisation, scene study and theatre games.

Coastal Repertory Theatre enters into the 'Age of Aquarius' with what the New York Times calls 'The Ultimate American Rock Musical', HAIR -- written by James Rado & Gerome Ragni and produced for the Broadway Stage by Michael Butler, originally produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival Theatre. This production is directed and choreographed by Joe Duffy with musical and vocal direction by Joseph Murphy. The show runs today, July 19, 2013 through August 10, 2013.
ReGroup Theatre's THE SILENT PARTNER Set for The Players Club Today

Clifford Odets' The Silent Partner, was originally written for production by The Group Theatre, but the company sadly closed its doors before the play was ever mounted. It was never published, and other than a 1972 Lee Strasberg helmed workshop at the Actors Studio, the play has been unseen for 75 years causing it to be the source of much speculation. Often referred to as a long-form version of Waiting for Lefty as it deals with striking workers, it is an entirely original and savagely poetic 3-Act tale that only Odets could tell.
