By:

Chazz Palminteri will return to Providence with his critically acclaimed hit A Bronx Tale. The show will play for one night only at The VETS on March 1st, 2014.

A Bronx Tale is a funny and touching memoir written by and starring Chazz Palminteri. In the celebrated play on which he based the legendary movie, directed by and co-starring Robert De Niro, Palminteri brings 18 characters to life while vividly depicting a young boy's rough childhood in the 1960's-era Bronx and the unforgettable people he encountered. A classic coming-of-age story about reaching your true potential and trusting your heart.

Chazz Palminteri, a Sicilian/Italian American, was born Calogero Lorenzo Palminteri in the Bronx, New York. The son of a Bronx bus driver, he first dreamed of an acting career at age 13. Palminteri grew up in a tough area of the Bronx which gave him the life lessons that would later prove very useful. He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School and started out pursuing his craft in 1973 studying with Lee Strasberg at the Actor's Studio. He has appeared in several popular feature films, including A Bronx Tale, Analyze This and The Usual Suspects. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1994 for Bullets Over Broadway.

A Bronx Tale will take place on Saturday, March 1st at 7pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15th.
