The 27th annual edition of the Gypsy of the Year competition will feature special performances from 14 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows today, December 7 (4:30 PM) and tomorrow, December 8 (2 PM) at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street, NYC). Gypsy of the Year (#gypsyoftheyear) celebrates six weeks of intensive fundraising by Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring productions.

Lea Salonga, revered as the 'Voice of the Philippines,' returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a special one-night-only concert in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall on Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m.

On the final episode of Trek to Broadway, join the company of Allegiance for all the excitement of Opening Night on Broadway. Go backstage as the cast tries to stay calm and prepare for their official debut while the fervor of celebrities and special guests arriving on the red carpet outside the Longacre Theatre. For many of those involved, opening night is a huge milestone. Sing Out, Louise! Productions and ATA have announced that the new musical Allegiance, with music & lyrics by Jay Kuo, will be preserved with an original cast album to be recorded on Monday, December 7, 2015 at MSR Studios.  The recording will be produced by Lynne Shankel & Joel Moss for Sing Out, Louise! Productions.  Principal Allegiance cast members Lea Salonga, George Takei, Telly Leung, Katie Rose Clarke and Michael K. Lee will be joined by the entire company for the studio session, which will include original recordings of tracks such as "Wishes on the Wind," "What Makes a Man," "With You," "Stronger Than Before," and Salonga's Act One showstopper "Higher," among many others.  The album is scheduled to be released digitally on January 30, 2016.  For more information, visit www.AllegianceMusical.com.

Actor, activist and now Broadway star George Takei will be available answer questions online in real time on Thursday, December 3 at 3pm when Goldstar debuts its new series, "Coffee With Goldstar."

Daniel and Laura Curtis will be releasing a new album in the later part of 2016.  The album comes on the heels of their chart topping, 'Love On 42nd Street, that featured Broadway and West End artists like: Lea Salonga, Ramin Karimloo, John Owen-Jones, Sierra Boggess, Samantha Barks, and Simon Bowman. Filipino-American artist The Filharmonic will be featured in the 2015-2016 season of the Valley Performing Arts Center. The vibrant contemporary a capella group joins the ranks of Linda Ronstadt, Bobby McFerrin, Megan Hilty and Lea Salonga as being part of this season.
