'South Pacific' to perform on The View and Letterman.

'South Pacific' cast album released nationwide today, May, 27th.

Sony BMG Masterworks proudly announces the upcoming release of the New Broadway Cast Recording of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific. The CD will be available nationwide on May 27, 2008.

The cast of the York Theatre's recent revival of The Body Beautiful - including Tony winner Cady Huffman (The Producers) and Tony nominees Brad Oscar (The Producers) and Megan Lawrence (The Pajama Game) - will go into the recording studio on April 7 to preserve Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick's inaugural Broadway score set to a book by Joseph Stein and Will Glickman.

The cast and crew of South Pacific celebrated their opening night in style. The Rodgers and Hammerstein classic opened its first ever revival on April 3.

Laura Griffith received the ceremonial Gypsy Robe as the cast member of South Pacific with the most ensemble credits under her belt. Griffith was previously in The Sweet Smell of Success, Oklahoma! and The Light in the Piazza.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced final casting for its upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific.
