The Joyce Theater Foundation celebrates the 45th anniversary of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago with its first return engagement in three years. The aptly-titled evening of diverse offerings, Sapphire Season, will play The Joyce Theater from February 14-19.

Created by Native Son Founder Emil Wilbekin, the 101 List recognizes leaders in the Black gay and queer community who have made significant contributions, achieved culture-making milestones, and those who are using their platforms to break through glass ceilings in their respective roles, professions, and areas of expertise.
Gibney Announces IMAGINING DIGITAL Spring 2023 Season

From January 17 through May 24, Imagining Digital features seven online events, as well as the continuation of Imagining: A Gibney Journal, a bimonthly online publication. Black Diaspora, a virtual, peer support program serving up-and-coming, Black and Afro-Latinx-identified dance and performance artists from various cultural backgrounds and aesthetic traditions, also continues February 11 – June 12 with nine sessions, including co-presentations in the 2023 BlackLight Summit.
ArtDesk Magazine Publishes Inaugural ARTDESK 100

In honor of ArtDesk magazine's tenth anniversary in 2023, the magazine will publish the ARTDESK 100 in its Winter 2023 issue on December 18, 2022. Jacob's Pillow to Rebuild Theatre Destroyed in Fire

After the tragic loss of the Doris Duke Theatre to a fire in November 2020, Jacob’s Pillow has announced that the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation has awarded a $10 million grant —the largest received in Jacob’s Pillow’s 90-year history—toward the building of a new, reimagined Doris Duke Theatre, slated to open in 2025.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center's Principal Dance Company and America's cultural ambassador to the world, has announced highlights of its always-anticipated annual season at New York City Center. Returning to its “home” theater for four weeks November 30 - December 24, 2022, the Ailey company will present a world premiere by Kyle Abraham, the company premiere of Twyla Tharp's Roy's Joys, and a new production of Alvin Ailey's Survivors.
