Brandi Carlile's Girls Just Wanna Weekend—a brand new destination concert vacation featuring an all female-fronted lineup produced by Cloud 9 Adventures in partnership withThe Bowery Presents—will take place at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico from January 30-February 3, 2019. In addition to multiple shows by Carlile, Girls Just Wanna Weekend will feature Maren Morris, Indigo Girls, Margo Price,Patty Griffin, Lucius, KT Tunstall, The Secret Sisters and Ruby Amanfu.

Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced a special limited run of Confessions of a Mulatto Love Child, written and performed by Bellina Logan. Well known for her roles on film and television, Logan brings her acclaimed solo play, directed by Maggie Soboil, to the Davidson/Valentini Theatre for seven performances only through May 6.

According to Billboard, singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile has charted in the number one spot on their Top Rock Chart  with her latest release BY THE WAY, I FORGIVE YOU. Legendary singer, songwriter and performer John Prine will release his highly anticipated new album, The Tree of Forgiveness, April 13 on his own independent label, Oh Boy Records (pre-order now). Irish Arts Center presents Masters in Collaboration XII: Rhiannon Giddens Meets Dirk Powell (February 9-11), the next chapter in a series that, since its launch in 2008, has consistently served as a risk-rewarding incubator and platform for the merging of musical talents outside the dynamics of the commercial marketplace. Last season, the collaboration between Cassandra Wilson and Liam Maonla fostered at IAC blossomed into an international tour to Dublin, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, with an ensemble of top jazz, folk and Irish musicians from both sides of the Atlantic, in a performance where their innate musicality allowed their distinct vocabularies to speak as one (Chicago Tribune).
