The Devil Makes Three has announced an extensive North American tour for 2018 with tickets on sale now HERE. The 23-show run will kick-off in Madison, WI on January 10 and hit major cities throughout Canada and the American Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast, ending in Dallas, TX on February 10.

The Music Center has added James Taylor, Brandi Carlile and Scarlet Rivera to the previously announced powerful line-up of singers and musicians who will honor Joni Mitchell on her 75th birthday as part of JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion* on November 6 and 7, 2018.  James Taylor and Brandi Carlile will join Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Seal, and Rufus Wainwright to perform songs from Mitchell's prolific career.  Scarlet Riverawill be a featured guest member of the band.  Co-musical directors providing the musical arrangements for the evenings are drummer Brian Blade, who recorded three studio albums and toured extensively with Mitchell, and, pianist, composer, arranger producer Jon Cowherd.  The Music Center's Artistic Advisor Jorn Weisbrodt is the creator of the two evenings, and Danny Kapilian is the music producer.

John Prine won “Artist of the Year” at last night's Americana Music Honors & Awards. This is Prine's third time receiving the prestigious award following previous wins in 2017 and 2005.

A Night With Janis Joplin presents an imagined concert, held a week before her untimely death, with the legendary performer joined by some of her most significant influences - from Aretha Franklin to Nina Simone to Bessie Smith to Odetta. In the wake of the critical success of BLAZE, directed and co-written by Ethan Hawke, and the acclaim for musician Ben Dickey in his first acting role as Blaze Foley; Ethan Hawke, Charlie Sexton and Louis Black announce the launch of the SexHawkeBlack record label. Dickey, who was awarded a U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Achievement in Acting at the Sundance Film Festival 2018, will be the first musician signed to this new imprint in conjunction with the Nashville based Dualtone label. Music industry veteran Erika Pinktipps will oversee operations.

As Lyle Lovett takes the stage for his 21st show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the venue has announced Lovett's induction into the Red Rocks Hall of Fame. The venue occasionally inducts performers who have particular longevity or importance in the venue's history and Lovett is the sole honoree this year.

The Arlington Theatre will host BRANDI CARLILE today, August 18, for a night of music from their new album By the Way, I Forgive You.

Featuring an ensemble cast of inspired performers, the film explores the uniquely American art of storytelling through renditions of the Blaze Foley songbook, and examines the impact of both his art and his untimely death on his fans, friends, and collaborators.
