CTG Extends 2017-18 Block Party Application Deadline

The deadline to apply to Center Theatre Group's 2017-2018 Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre has been extended to June 6, 2017. Block Party aims to highlight some of the remarkable work being done on other stages throughout Los Angeles by fully producing three previously staged productions at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. The new deadline to apply to the 2017-2018 Block Party program is June 6, 2017.

Laguna Playhouse has announced that acclaimed actor Hal Linden (replacing the previously announced Bruce Davison) has been added to its very special theatrical event also starring Gregory Harrison, Dan Lauria, Charles Shaughnessy, French Stewart & Vanessa Stewart in TESLA: A RADIO PLAY FOR THE STAGE, written by Dan Duling and directed by Michael Arabian.

Audiences now have eight more chances to see stage and screen star Stacy Keach in his tour-de-force performance as Chicagoland native son, Ernest Hemingway. Goodman Theatre announces that playwright Jim McGrath's newest work - Pamplona, which begins preview performances tomorrow - has been extended for one week, now closing on Sunday, June 25.

Center Theatre Group to Offer Free Workshops at The Shop

Center Theatre Group will provide free workshops to community members at The Shop located at 2856 E. 11th Street in Boyle Heights, 90023. Center Theatre Group staff will teach crafting techniques with activities that range from puppet making to fabric marbling. Upcoming workshops are taking place in May and June.
