​​​​​​​Katonah Classic Stage (KCS) will kick-off their 2023 season at Armonk's Whippoorwill Theatre with the bittersweet comedy, Later Life, from the timeless playwright A.R. Gurney. Starting with a preview on April 27th, the play, set in the 1990s, will take audiences on a romantic journey of missed connections with hope for new beginnings, through May 7, 2023. 

Transport Group has announced casting for its one-night-only performance of the Frank Capra holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life, directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III, which takes place Monday, December 12, at 8pm, at The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture, 18 Bleecker Street.

Atlantic Theater Company will present First Gen MixFest, a series of free readings co-produced by playwrights Ngozi Anyanwu and Sanaz Toossi, that will run at Atlantic's Linda Gross Theater from Monday, August 8th through Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. The Theatre Company has announced the live Oregon premiere of The Thin Place by award-winning playwright Lucas Hnath, May 15-20, 2022. Presented in partnership with Revolution Hall at Washington High School, The Thin Place uses the intimate surroundings of the Sunset Room to help create an immersive exploration of the fragile boundary between our world and the one just beyond. 

Tovah Feldshuh, Andrew Dawson, Kelly McAndrew, Matt Servitto, Allan K. Washington, and Kayce Wilson will join previously announced Arnie Burton, Jasminn Johnson, Lauren Molina, Reg Rogers, Ari'el Stachel, Jason Tam, completing the cast for the Gala Benefit Reading of Light Up the Sky by Moss Hart, directed by Mr. Silverstein. 

Transport Group's revival of its acclaimed 2011 production of The Patsy, written by Barry Conners, performed by David Greenspan, and directed by Jack Cummings III, officially opened on Sunday, April 10 at 3pm.

The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return on Tuesday, September 14th, with an all new series of unforgettable performances. Sixteen actors have been paired with writers who have crafted unique pieces especially for them. From 6 PM until 10 PM, new monologues will be published every 15 minutes.  

Play-PerView has announced its lineup of production coming in September! This month's lineup begins with Seneca Falls on September 12, followed by Sugar in Our Wounds on September 19, and Hamlet in Bed on September 26.

Due to popular demand, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has added two matinee performances, October 4 and 11 at 1pm, of Novenas for a Lost Hospital, and released production photography by Julieta Cervantes. Novenas for a Lost Hospital is a communal experience created by playwright Cusi Cram (A Lifetime Burning) and Rattlestick's Artistic Director Daniella Topol (Ironbound) that stars Tony Award-nominated and four-time Obie-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit).

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced details and complete casting for the world premiere of Novenas for a Lost Hospital, a communal experience created by playwright Cusi Cram (A Lifetime Burning) and Rattlestick's Artistic Director Daniella Topol (Ironbound) and starring Tony Award-nominated and four-time Obie-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit). Novenas for a Lost Hospital sets out to remember and celebrate St. Vincent's Hospital, the 161-year-old Catholic institution that treated victims of calamities from the sinking of the Titanic to September 11th. Guided by Saint Elizabeth Seton (Chalfant) and inspired by the caretakers and patients of St. Vincent's Hospital, this unique event takes a 60-person audience on an uplifting journey from an enclosed West Village garden to Rattlestick's intimate theater to the NYC AIDS Memorial Park. Novenas for a Lost Hospital runs September 5a?"October 13, 2019, at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place) with an opening night of September 19. Initial casting and remaining directors have been announced for Pride Plays, an upcoming festival of play readings to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. Nick Mayo serves as Festival Director.

As soon as I saw Lucas Hnath's name on the docket for this current season's Humana Festival, I knew immediately which show I most wanted to see. The fact that there was a supernatural aspect to it was an added bonus. I'm happy to report that I don't feel that my anticipation was wasted.
