Just last night, Syracuse University celebrated Taye Diggs (Class of 1993) at Syracuse University's Lubin House (11 E 61st Street). In honor of his directorial debut with 'Thoughts of a Colored Man,' they presented a reading of the new play, by Keenan Scott II with music by Madison McFerrin, for fellow alumni and invited guests.

The one-night-only NYC premiere of Stan Zimmerman's Right Before I Go. took place on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Town Hall (123 W 43rd Street). Directed by Michael Wilson, Right Before I Go. featured a cast of 23, including Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award-winners raising awareness for suicide prevention.

Stage and screen star Taye Diggs will make his directorial debut with a private industry reading of Thoughts of a Colored Man on a Day When the Sun Set Too Early, today and tomorrow, November 16 & 17, 2017 at Ripley-Grier in New York City. Written and conceived by Keenan Scott II, Thoughts of a Colored Man is a powerful and moving play featuring music by Madison McFerrin and choreography by Jenny Parsinen. The award winning Choice Films, Michael Cohen, Robin Reinach & Ben Feldman will present an invite-only reading of the new play CONSENT, by critically acclaimed playwright David Rhodes, directed by Drama Desk Award winner Josh Hecht. The reading will take place in New York City on March 31st, 2014.

Deadline.com reports that Joe Keenan and Scott Ellis' comedy about a gay man and his straight brother has been fast-tracked by TV Land as a half-hour sitcom. Keenan comes from Frasier and Desperate Housewives, while Ellis has a history as a director. As gay men, both have experiences with straight siblings, and they drew much of their premise from life experience.
