Josh Groban, She & Him and More Join Wolf Trap Summer 2013 Performances

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announced today 34 additions to its 2013 summer schedule at the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. In a wide-ranging season that features opera, theatre, comedy, dance, symphony, international and contemporary music, Wolf Trap continues to strengthen its commitment to the presentation of high quality, accessible and affordable arts experiences for the broadest possible audience. Tickets to the newly announced shows go on sale Saturday, March 16 at 10 am, with more performances to be announced later this spring.

Cafe Carlyle to Launch SECOND ACT Series with Stacy Sullivan, 3/1

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel brings the late night, downtown vibe to the Upper East Side with its new "Second Act, A Late Night Series of Fun and Entertainment" at the Cafe Carlyle. The new series begins March 1st in the iconic cabaret room and will host the series of performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturdaynights at 10:45pm, following performances of the Cafe Carlyle's regularly scheduled season lineup. Stacy Sullivan will kick off the Second Act Series, followed by Jo Thompsonand "Midnight at Gatsbys: The F. Scott Fitzgerald Songbook."

Tom Wopat Celebrates Release of I'VE GOT YOUR NUMBER at 54 Below Tonight

2013 promises to be a banner year for Tom Wopat. From the Feb. 12 release of his eighth recording I've Got Your Number, to his role in Quentin Tarrantino's highly anticipated film Django Unchained, (released 2012 Christmas) and the release of the ABC -TV family musical movie Lovestruck, in which he stars with Jane Seymour. While one can't help recall his starring role in the '80's hit television series The Dukes of Hazzard, it is Tom Wopat, jazz vocalist and the Tony nominated star of Broadway that's been garnering high critical acclaim for the last two decades.

Last week, The Southern California Motion Picture Council presented their Annual Golden Halo Award Presentation. Among those being honored were Ja'net DuBois, Bridget MacDonald and John Pierre, but the evenings highlight was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to actress, comedienne and humanitarian, Geri Jewell. Among those in attendance to honor Ms. Jewell, were Alison Arngrim, Ed Asner, Kelsey Collins, June Faray, Ford Austin, Rose Marie, Margaret O'Brien and a special letter sent by Norman Lear. Legendary folk singer Judy Collins; folk pop icon Dar Williams; Broadway star André DeShields; award winning actor Stephen Lang; and The Classical Theater of Harlem will bring the words and ideas of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass to life tonight, February 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Cooper Union Great Hall, 7 East 7th St., NYC 10003 (b/w 3rd and 4th Aves) in a special program entitled, 'The Civil War in Words and Music.'

The Barns at Wolf Trap Announce Upcoming Performances

The Chicago City Limits National Touring Company arrives at The Barns at Wolf Trap to perform their highly lauded improvisational parodies. As New York City's longest running comedic act, which in the past has hosted comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, and Robin Williams among others, the actors of Chicago City Limits recount today's hard news through a series of hilariously relevant satirical sketches. In 2008 and 2009 the troupe was bestowed the MAC Award for Best Comedy/Improv Group by The Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs. Regularly performing at academic institutions and performing arts venues across the United States, the touring company cast has also made appearances at Super Bowl XXIII, HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival, Lincoln Center, the Smithsonian Institution, and The Today Show.
