Tonight, May 24 and May 25 & 26, the Houston Symphony welcomes audiences of all ages and musical backgrounds to an exciting performance with the eclectic 'little orchestra,' Pink Martini. Led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski, Pink Martini will delight audiences with their jazz-infused world music and energetic stage antics. This performance marks Pink Martini's 3rd performance in Houston since their debut with the Symphony in May 2008.

NJTV, New Jersey's public television network, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) announced the production of a new music television series, American Songbook at NJPAC, taped before a live audience at the Arts Center and airing on NJTV and WNET this fall.

WOODY GUTHRIE AT 100! LIVE AT THE KENNEDY CENTER pays homage to the artistry of American folk musician Woody Guthrie. This new CD+DVD commemorative package captures the historic all-star concert staged in his honor last October in Washington, DC.

On April 3rd, the New-York Historical Society unveiled a life-size bronze sculpture of Abraham Lincoln. The event, which attracted such personalities as singers Tony Bennett and Judy Collins, writer Gay Talese, editor Nan Talese, Barnes & Noble CEO Leonard Riggio, media magnate Sumner Redstone, and Actor Andre de Shields, highlighted one of the finest sculpted likenesses of Lincoln ever produced. The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel has just announced the return of its most famous resident, Elaine Stritch, to the Café Carlyle for her final engagement. Her new show, Elaine Stritch at the Carlyle: Movin' Over and Out, a freeform evening of story and song, will play for one week only. This will be the final chance to see Ms. Stritch – who has been dubbed the Carlyle's own “Octogenarian Eloise” – give one of her now-legendary performances at her home venue, before she leaves the Carlyle Hotel and the city of New York for good. (Ms. Stritch will be relocating to her home state of Michigan.) Elaine Stritch has played 4 sold-out engagements at the Café Carlyle over the past 7 years.

The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel welcomes the Grammy Award-winning vocalist Debby Boone for her debut at the Cafe Carlyle with her new program 'Swing This'. Ms. Boone opened at the Cafe Carlyle last night and will play through March 30th, where she will be joined by her music director, John Oddo, and a nine piece band for what she has described as, 'The party I've been waiting my whole life to throw!'
