After a highly successful 2013, MadLab is coming back in 2014 with more offerings than ever including their 15th Theatre Roulette, their 3rd Young Writer's Short Play Festival, 2 shows by their resident improv troupe FFN, and 4 new full length shows. Details below:

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 8th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and a silent auction. The awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party.

Tickets are currently on sale for UP Comedy Club's roster of stand-up and sketch shows, and newly added special engagements including: Summer in The Second City (June 21-August 31), a panel presentation and question and answer session with original members of The Playwrights Theatre Club (which later became The Second City) and several appearances as part of TBS Just For Laughs Festival (June 11-June 16). GOSSIP GIRL's Penn Badgley and former GILMORE GIRL Alexis Bledel have reportedly signed on to the upcoming ensemble drama PARTS PER BILLION, Deadline announced this afternoon. Along with the two stars, CSI:NY's Hill Harper and Teresa Palmer have joined the cast as well.

AKA and Bow Street Films announced today that they will merge into a new production outfit that will be named AKA/Bow Street Films (AKA/BSF). The new entity will allow filmmakers at the company to make high quality films for under $3 million. The slate at AKA/Bow Street Films will consist of two primary tranches of films, all with budgets between $500k and $3 million: genre films such as suspense, thriller, horror and contained action and, second, dramatic features of upcoming directors with strong casts that are made for a sensible price.

Unfortunately the creators of Annex Theatre's current production "A Mouse Who Knows Me" need to be explained that the same does not go for songwriting as many of the numbers in their world premiere musical about laboratory mice seemed to simply be sung dialog. This ultimately led to a cute show that droned on.

A Mouse Who Knows Me is a fully fledged original musical, with book and lyrics by Scotto Moore and music by Robertson Witmer. It has been in development for the past year, and is now deemed safe for public consumption.

According to Deadline.com, Scott Stuber and Gordon Ramsay are working on a new NBC drama titled The Inferno. Created by Liz Garcia and Josh Harto, the series is set to be directed by Broadway's Michael Mayer. The Inferno is a 'dark, operatic drama about two fledgling New York restaurateurs who, on the eve of bankruptcy, decide to hire a magnetic, fiery, larger-than-life mysterious Italian chef.'
