Happy Birthday, Ralph Fiennes! Fiennes' 2006 performance in the play Faith Healer gained him a nomination for a 2007 Tony Award. In 2008, Fiennes worked with frequent collaborator director Jonathan Kent to play the title role in Sophocles's Oedipus the King at The National Theatre in London. He has appeared in films such as The English Patient, In Bruges, The Constant Gardener, Strange Days and Maid in Manhattan. He is also well known for his portrayals of three infamous villains: Nazi war criminal Amon Göth in Schindler's List, serial killer Francis Dolarhyde in the 2002 film Red Dragon, and Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series. Most recently, he appeared in The Reader (2008), The Hurt Locker (2009) and as Hades in Clash of the Titans (2010).

Little Grey Cells in association with Mercury Theatre Colchester present Tu I Teraz (Here & Now). Tu I Teraz, written by Nicola Werenowska and directed by Sam Potter will run at The Hampstead Theatre Downstairs from tonight, 18 December to 19 January, with press night on 20 December. Tu I Teraz has set design by Kerry Bradley, lighting by Matt O'Leary and sound by Steve Mayo, and the cast is Ania Sowinski (Marysia), Anna Elijasz (Ana) and George Lasha (Janusz).

A quickly-rising star who is already one of the opera world's most sought-after vocalists, soprano Susanna Phillips has filled the upcoming season with an exciting schedule of engagements. Phillips returns to New York's Metropolitan Opera for her fifth consecutive season, makes her Carnegie Hall solo recital debut, and taps into her Southern heritage as Stella in Andre Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire with Renee Fleming in performances at Carnegie Hall and Lyric Opera of Chicago.

Alex Parker Productions, in agreement with Bouberg Productions, presents the premiere of the revised version of MARGUERITE with Music by Michel Legrand, Lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and Book by Alain Boublil & Guy Unsworth. According to the Daily Mail, Imelda Staunton will play Mama Rose in the Chichester Festival production of Gypsy, directed by Jonathan Kent, next fall in 2013. The show has not been seen on the West End for more than 30 years.
