The new NSMT is under the leadership and ownership of Bill Hanney. Experienced in theater management, Hanney is also the Owner/Producer of Theatre By The Sea in Rhode Island, a 500 seat summer theatre now in it's 4th successful year under his leadership. In a recent article by The Boston Globe, Bill Hanney, the new owner of the North Shore Music Theatre, is enthusiastic about the theatre's future. Despite still being under construction, GYPSY is set to open in 11 days.

Langston in Harlem has a book by Langston Hughes, Walter Marks and Kent Gash, with music by Walter Marks, lyrics by Langston Hughes and directed by Kent Gash, with Barry Levitt as music producer, choreography by Byron Easley, and musical direction by John DiPinto.

With the purchase of the shuttered North Shore Music Theatre finalized this week to the tune of $3.6 million, businessman and theatre owner William Hanney is looking ahead at the upcoming production season including bringing back the theatre's holiday favorite 'A Christmas Carol', reports Boston.com.

Adapted from the Charles Dickens classic by Jon Kimbell, David James & David Zoffoli , A CHRISTMAS CAROL, A Musical Ghost Story tells the tale of curmudgeonly miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future hoping to change his destiny and save his soul.

The Seacoast Repertory Theatre announced today they have added one performance of its holiday production of A Christmas Carol, A Musical Ghost Story on Sunday December 27, 2009 at 7pm. A Christmas Carol which has been playing the entire month of December to SOLD OUT houses has been the toughest ticket to get on the Seacoast this year.

As previously reported by the Salem News, William Hanney, owner of Theatre By the Sea in Matunuck, Rhode Island, is in talks to purchase the building previously known as the North Shore Music Theatre. The theatre has been out of business since June, when they announced that they were unable to raise the necessary funds and pay off their debts.

Save Our Theatre benefit raises $45,000 for North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts
