After the extraordinary success of its most recent production Almost, Maine which was a new work never before seen in the region, the Seacoast Repertory Theatre will end its run of Thornton Wilder's classic OUR TOWN on April 4th.

First produced in 1938, and still running Off-Broadway, OUR TOWN is the quintessential American play. Set at the turn of the 20th century, Wilder's masterpiece is a rich commentary about the fleeting nature of life and the need to appreciate every moment to its fullest, as revealed through the lives of the ordinary citizens of Grovers Corners, New Hampshire. This landmark in American drama will be directed by Jon Kimbell, former Artistic Director of Theatre by the Sea and North Shore Music Theatre.

"OUR TOWN is one of America's great plays: timeless, simple and profound" said Mr. Kimbell. "Directing Thornton Wilder's extraordinary examination of a microcosm of the human family is a privilege. I feel particularly fortunate to have such a talented cast and creative team to help me bring Wilder's play to life. It's been many years since I've directed at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. The recent changes Craig Faulkner and Stefany Shaheen have brought to this intimate space demonstrate the organization's commitment and dedication to producing intelligent and meaningful theater for Seacoast audiences. I am delighted to be part of that process."
In addition to Mr. Kimbell the creative/production team for OUR TOWN includes Craig J. Faulkner (Artistic Director), David Towlun (Scenic Designer/Production Manager), Tony Lauro (Costume Designer), Matt Guminski (Lighting Designer), Dennis Munroe (Sound Designer), David Towlun (Production Manager), Lauri Gagnon (Properties Mistress), Moe Doucette(Stage Manager) and Jason Helias (Technical Director/Master Electrician).

Founded in 1987, SEACOAST REPERTORY THEATRE is a not-for-profit arts and educational organization, which has been entertaining, enlightening and engaging audiences as New Hampshire's only year-round professional theatre for decades. Winner of countless regional and local awards, the Rep offers a complete schedule of award-winning musicals, plays and youth productions as well as educational opportunities for all ages with its youth workshops, classes, camps and Senior Moments programs.
