Ovation, America's only arts network, continues its new season of the hit original series Song By Song with the premiere of Song by Song: Blondie on Tuesday, November 11th at 10PM ET. The documentary music series will focus on the iconic band, currently celebrating its 40th Anniversary.

Song by Song, the popular and critically acclaimed original series from Ovation, America's only arts network, returns with the new season premiere of Song by Song: Sheryl Crow tonight, October 14th at 10PM ET. The documentary music series, from the Emmy(R)-nominated production company TH Entertainment, will focus on four of Crow's most-enduring hit songs and the stories and inspiration behind them.

If you listen to a lot popular country music these days you'll find that most of it is really just pop music with a twang. That's not to say it isn't good. In fact, there are some great artists out there writing great tunes, and musicians that can play with astonishing skill and style. It's just that the industry itself has changed. It started with the 'countrypolitan' path artists took during the late 1960's and 70's, when their hits began to crossover to top the pop chart as well as the country ones. Somewhere along the line that true, pure and traditional sound just wasn't as prevalent as it had been. That's why Marty Stuart's appearance at The Sheldon Concert Hall was an event to remember. Marty and his aptly named band mates, The (His) Fabulous Superlatives, reach back to the roots of country music, producing an achingly beautiful sound in the process. Their appearance as the first act on this seasons' folk music series at the hall (October 3, 2014) marked the opportunity to hear this genuinely joyful noise in person.

The hysterical webseries, THE RESIDUALS, which will debut it's second season exclusively here on BroadwayWorld in 2015, is currently in the final two days of their Season Two KickStarter campaign. And now the two come together in an original show, THE OTHER HALF, written by award-winning crime writer Mark Billingham with music by leading British Americana country duo, My Darling Clementine at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on Monday 10 November.

Now Kristen Hertzenberg returns to Cabaret Jazz at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts tonight, September 27 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Backed by an eight-piece band, Hertzenberg unveils Spellbound, a love-haunted set of blues, rock, jazz, folk, and country.

Years from now when they're talking about the great personalities in country music, Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, they'll mention Marty Stuart. He'll be among those personalities because he's never been afraid to follow his vision . . . to stretch the boundaries of country music . . . to make big statements about music and society. Marty and his band, The Fabulous Superlatives, bring his talents and visions to Harris Center for the Arts for just one performance on October 22.

A second concert will be added at 7:30 pm on Wednesday December 3, 2014 inside Benaroya Hall's Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall. On January 20 and 22, 2015 the dozen musicians that make up the Portland-based Pink Martini join forces with the Seattle Symphony for two concerts in the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium. The Seattle Symphony Associate Conductor Stilian Kirov will lead the Pink Martini concerts.
