Members of the Shrek cast are set to celebrate the release of the Broadway muscial's original cast recording on March 25 at the Columbus Circle Borders. Brian d'Arcy James, Sutton Foster, Daniel Breaker, Christopher Sieber, nd John Tartaglia will be present to sign CDs at 6:00 pm.

The DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd production of SREK THE MUSICAL opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on December 14, 2008. On March 24th, the highly anticipated Original Cast Recording will be released by Decca Broadway.

Well, it's time to get out of your homes, dorms and apartments and enjoy all the upcoming great weather. Dori Berinstein, three-time Tony award-winning Broadway producer and award-winning producer, director, and writer of film and television, was presented with The Commercial Theater Institute's Robert Whitehead Award for 'outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing' at a reception at Sardi's Restaurant on Tuesday, March 10th, 2009.

The National Foundation for Facial Reconstruction (NFFR) presented Broadway for Medicine II featuring funny-lady Julie Halston (Hairspray, Sex and the City) and 'Professor of all things Broadway,' Sirius/XM Satellite Radio host Seth Rudetsky along with some very exciting special guests. Mr. Tartaglia's show will include 'I Wish I Could Go Back To College' from 'Avenue Q,' 'Time To Wake Up' from his Disney TV show 'Johnny And The Sprites' and an original cut song from 'Shrek,' in addition to funny stories about his life and career. The show will be at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Preview performances began on Saturday, November 8, 2008. The cast album from Universal/Decca Broadway will be released March 24th, 2009.

SHREK THE MUSICAL star Brian d'Arcy James will be at Planet Hollywood Times Square on Monday, March 2, 2009at 6:30 p.m. to donate memorabilia from SHREK THE MUSICAL and have his handprints captured in cement. (The mold of his handprints and memorabilia from the show will later be displayed in the restaurant.)
