The Actors Fund will host a Special Performance of SHREK THE MUSICAL on Sunday, March 15th at 8pm.

SHREK THE MUSICAL star Brian d'Arcy James will be at Planet Hollywood Times Square on Monday, March 2, 2009at 6:30 p.m. to donate memorabilia from SHREK THE MUSICAL and have his handprints captured in cement. (The mold of his handprints and memorabilia from the show will later be displayed in the restaurant.)

The DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd production of SREK THE MUSICAL opened at the Broadway Theatre in New York City on December 14, 2008. On March 24th, the highly anticipated Original Cast Recording will be released by Decca Broadway.

On Friday, February 17th, the cast of Broadway's SHREK THE MUSICAL will perform on ABC?s ?The View.? Brian d?Arcy James and Sutton Foster will first perform ?I?ve Got You Beat? and then join the company (also featuring Daniel Breaker and John Tartaglia) in performing ?Freak Flag.? ?The View? airs nationally on ABC (channel 7, WABC in the tri-state area). The gender-reversed benefit concert extravaganza is always one of the Center's most anticipated events of the year, and on Monday, February 9, 2009, Broadway Backwards returned to Broadway's American Airlines Theatre. BroadwayWorld's cameras were everywhere to capture all the gender-bending fun!

Broadway Backwards is a star-studded event featuring songs that even those not familiar with Broadway know and love, with a very unique and memorable twist. Instead of seeing a woman sing the iconic 'As Long As He Needs Me' from Oliver!, if that song were to be featured in Broadway Backwards, you might see someone like Alan Cumming sing it! The event was a benefit for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Manhattan.

Due to demand for tickets on the weekend, SHREK THE MUSICAL will add a weekly performance on Sunday evenings beginning March 16 at the Broadway Theatre.
