Red Bull Theater today announced some of the cast for Red Bull Theater's annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes featuring two brand new commissions from Lisa D'Amour and Amy Freed, alongside six brand new plays chosen from hundreds of submissions from playwrights across the country.

Red Bull Theater to Close 12th Season with 2016 Short New Play Festival

Red Bull Theater today announced that their Twelfth Season will conclude with Red Bull Theater's annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes features two brand new commissions from Lisa D'Amour and Amy Freed alongside 6 brand new plays chosen from hundreds of submissions from playwrights across the country. The 2016 Short New Play Festival will be Monday July 25th (7:30pm) at Lucille Lortel Theatre. This year's plays will be Motley Fool by Kate Abbruzzese, Swan Song by Emily Taplin Boyd, Malaprop by Lisa D'amour, The Ghoul Of Amherst by Amy Freed, Warp And Weft by Anchuli Felicia King, Her Father's Daughter by Dakin Matthews, The Eighth Circle by Bridgette Dutta Portman, and The Opulent Complex by Lynn Rosen. Red Bull Theater today announced that William Congreve's THE WAY OF THE WORLD, directed by Mr. Berger, will feature two time Tony Award nominee Alison Fraser along with Jacob Dresch, Francesca Faridany, Ryan Garbayo, Adam Green, Christopher Innvar, Amelia Pedlow, Robert Petkoff, Liv Rooth, Jeanine Serralles, Dina Thomas, CJ Wilson, Nathan Winkelstein and more.  Red Bull Theater's latest Revelation Readings takes place tonight, Monday June 27th, at Lucille Lortel Theatre.  Tonight's performance is SOLD OUT, but Standby Tickets may be available at the door. 11th Annual Henry Awards Nominees Announced!

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800.

The Father and A Doll's House, Theatre for a New Audience's two plays in rotating repertory directed by Arin Arbus featuring Maggie Lacey and John Douglas Thompson at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place, have new opening dates: The Father, now in previews, will open Wednesday, May 25, at 7:30pm and A Doll's House will begin previews Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30pm for an opening Tuesday, May 24, at 7:30pm.

Previews begin Sunday, May 1, at 7:30pm for Theatre for a New Audience's production of August Strindberg's The Father in a new version by Scottish author David Greig commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience and Tuesday, May 10, at 7:30pm for A Doll's House in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937.  The plays, both directed by Arin Arbus, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, feature Maggie Lacey as Nora in A Doll's House and as Laura in The Father and John Douglas Thompson as Thorwald in A Doll's House and the Captain in The Father.
