This week the spotlight shines on Jenna Pryor, who caps a peripatetic 2014-15 season with the role of Jane Porter in Arts Center of Cannon County's Disney's Tarzan the Musical, which opens tonight at the theater in Woodbury.

This classic tale unfolds in early 1900's as a shipwreck leaves an infant orphaned on the West African shore. The helpless baby is taken under the protection of a gorilla tribe and becomes part of their family. When he eventually encounters his first human, Jane Porter, both of their worlds transform forever.

Tonight, August 4, the Arts Center of Cannon County will host a special evening of fun and games that includes a reverse raffle-with a grand prize of $5,000-and gourmet dinner. Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, the uproarious and surprisingly poignant story of two bumbling Alabama brothers who have never shot a duck but think they shot an angel, comes to Woodbury's Arts Center of Cannon County tonight, April 13-28, 2013.

Karen Lewis directs Peter Pan-based upon Sir James M. Barrie's 1904 play about the boy who refuses to grow up-is onstage in Woodbury through November 17, the latest in Arts Center of Cannon County's 2012 Stagedoor Series.

Set against a backdrop of the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, the Arts Center of Cannon County presents Chicago-the story of Roxie Hart (with Alexandra McNamara and Jessica Storvik alternating in the role) a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her-running September 14-13 in Woodbury.
