Started in 1998, Spotlight Theatre Company begins its 20th season this October. After beginning in Westminster, they made their home in the quaint 70 seat theatre in the West Colfax E-vents Center located in the heart of Lakewood and in 2008 made the move to Old Towne Lowry to the John Hand Theater in Colorado Free University.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800. 

Firehouse Theater Company presents 'The Boys Next Door' May 14 through June 11 at the John Hand Theater/Colorado Free University, 7653 East First Place in Lowry. Even superheroes need a little help putting on Shakespeare. By tele-fundraising. From the inside of a submarine. And that's how The Catamounts' are kicking off their fifth season, with Mickle Maher's Spirits to Enforce.

The Catamounts present SPIRITS TO ENFORCE by Mickle Maher, directed by Amanda Berg Wilson. The production runs tonight, October, 2, through October 17, 2014, at The Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street, Boulder, Colorado.

For the first show of Season Five, The Catamounts joyfully reunite with Mickle Maher, author of their 2014 hit production There Is A Happiness That Morning Is.  Swapping randy college lecturers on William Blake for telemarketing superheroes, SPIRITS TO ENFORCE once again combines a keen absurdist sense of humor with hyper-literate and heartfelt storytelling.

Silhouette Theatre Company presents the Denver Premiere production of Grace September 4 - September 27 with shows at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday; 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays; 6:30 p.m. on Sundays and a special show on Monday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. at The John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place in Denver. The two shows will run in repertory, Fridays through Sundays, and will both close on August 16. All performances will be at the John Hand Theater, 7653 E. 1st Place, Denver. The shows will be directed by Katie Mangett (Boeing, Boeing) and Luke Allen Terry (Don't Dress for Dinner).

Reeling from the loss of what she thought was the love of her life, public television employee Annie Wilson has lost her faith in God, men and even PBS. She finds a spiritual combatant in Elliot, who is happy to deliberate the specifics of his Catholic beliefs without having a firm grasp on them. Through his persistence and faith, Elliot hopes to teach her what it truly means to be in love forever.

I was in awe of this talented ensemble and it is their thoughtful consideration of each of their characters that made this show so heartwarming and heartbreaking.
