WaterTower Theatre is excited to be continuing one of our most talked about and anticipated traditions, the Community Cast Party!  CCP Co-Chairs Stan Graner, Corky Pledger, Deborah Staggs and Maureen Anderson today announced details for the 4th Annual Community Cast Party.  The party will be held on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 at WaterTower 's home, the Addison Theatre Centre from 7 pm to 10 pm.  The Community Cast Party is designed to attract a wide audience of patrons, partiers, and food lovers who are interested in supporting WaterTower Theatre while enjoying an evening of entertainment with cuisine offered from many fine local restaurants.  Attendees will have a unique opportunity to mix and mingle with artists from the DFW theatre community at the "open house" style event, where everyone is welcome.

Last Monday night, the Addison Theatre Center was abuzz, eagerly anticipating the directorial debut of WaterTower Theatre's new Artistic director, Joanie Schultz and the play HIT THE WALL that she carried with her from her previous Chicago home, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. When the house opened, actors milled about the stage, an enthusiastic indie band jamming away behind them, casually greeting ticket buyers as they took their seats. And, although we weren't yet sure if we were there to witness humor or horror, we entered ready for a riot.

Hit the Wall will be directed by Joanie Schultz, and marks her WTT directorial inauguration. Hit the Wall will run July 28th - August 20th, 2017, in the Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre. WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director Joanie Schultz today announced the Company will produce Hit the Wall, the groundbreaking Ike Holter play about the 1969 Stonewall uprising.  This production, the first to be selected and directed by Schultz, will replace the previously scheduled Sunday in the Park with George.
