After sold-out shows at the Canal Room and the Laurie Beechman, Cutting-Edge Composers brings its latest concert to NYMF on Monday, July 23rd at 7 and 9:30 pm at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 w. 46th Street). Up-and-coming musical theatre writers are teamed with Broadway's hottest performers at the concert directed and produced by Laura Pietropinto (Next to Normal), co-produced by Jillian Robbins, and musically directed by Virginia Hart Pike.

Jason Robert Brown to Bring Concert to Birdland, 7/30

The Broadway at Birdland concert series will present the return of composer JASON ROBERT BROWN on Monday, July 30, with two shows, at 6 and 8:30 pm. Jason's musical guest stars will be Leslie Odom, Jr. (Sam Strickland on "Smash," Leap of Faith), Heidi Blickenstaff (title of show, First You Dream) and Jennifer Damiano (Tony nominee/Next To Normal, Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark).

Stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons will announce this year's Tony nominees tomorrow morning, May 1, 8:30am EST at New York Public Library. The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards, which are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

MJ Rodriguez, who plays Angel in the current revival of Rent, has won the prestigious 2011 Clive Barnes Award, which celebrates the work of young actors and dancers. The award was presented today by 2010 Barnes Award winner Nina Arianda (Venus in Fur) at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theatre.
