Following the stunning success of The Suit, which played to standing ovations and sold-out houses at American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) in 2014, legendary director Peter Brook returns to A.C.T. with Battlefield (April 26-May 21, 2017).

"Cello goddess" (The New Yorker) Maya Beiser will perform two shows at this year's Big Ears Festival. On Friday, March 24, at 10:30am she opens the day with Morning Trance, a solo show at The Mill & Mine, and on Saturday, March 25 at 6:30pm she takes the stage at the Bijou Theatre for Uncovered, classic rock reimagined with Glenn Kotche, drums and Gyan Riley, bass.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and AEG Presents announced today that tickets for M.E. Live - Melissa Etheridge will go on sale Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m.  One of America's favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades, Melissa Etheridge, will perform for one night only at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Majestic Theatre.

Acclaimed Portland-based rock band Blitzen Trapper will make their foray into the world of theater with Wild and Reckless, a new concert event written and performed by the band that will have its world premiere at The Armory. The band has already recorded a limited-edition LP soundtrack for Wild and Reckless that will be available exclusively at performances. Entertainment Weekly premiered the song 'Love Live On' today, which can be heard HERE. Co-directed by The Armory's Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan and Production Manager Liam Kaas-Lentz, Wild and Reckless will run on the U.S. Bank Main Stage for 28 performances. Preview performances begin March 16; the opening night/press night is March 24; and regular performances run through April 30. The band will be joined on stage by New York-based actor Laura Carbonell, making her debut at The Armory, and Portland-favorite Leif Norby.

The new musical, Hit Her with the Skates, by Christine Rea & Rick Briskin will get a concert presentation at NYC's 54 Below (254 W 54 Street) before its pre-New York developmental production at Hamilton Stage (UCPAC, Rahway, NJ).

Considered the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls, takes the stage at The Wick Theatre from March 9th through April 9th. Based on the short stories of Damon Runyon,  with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls won the Tony Award for Best Musical, ran for 1,200 performances on Broadway, and became an Oscar nominated film starring Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. Blues vocalist Sari Schorr is back in the studio this week to record the follow-up album to her critically acclaimed debut album 'A Force of Nature". Before embarking on her UK tour on Wednesday 15th March, Sari is currently recording her new studio album in Bath.

The smash-hit show, At Last - The Etta James Story, is set to tour later this month starring the sensational Vika Bull; marking its UK debut on the 28th March when it opens at Liverpool's Epstein Theatre, the show also stops off in Manchester on 10th April at Royal Northern College of Music.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Danny Feldman, Producing Artistic Director and Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director Emeritus) announced today that they will present THE ORIGINALIST and HOLD THESE TRUTHS as part of the theater's 2016-2017 Season. THE ORIGINALIST, by John Strand (Charles MacArthur Award-winning Lovers and Executioners), directed by Molly Smith (Camp David and Artistic Director of Arena Stage), and starring four-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Edward Gero (Goodman Theatre's Red), tells the story about a liberal law student's nerve-wracking clerkship with Justice Antonin Scalia.

Rubicon Theatre Company celebrates Black History Month with THE DEVIL'S MUSIC: THE LIFE AND BLUES OF BESSIE SMITH, starring singer and actress Miche Braden of the original Off-Broadway production (named one of the 10 Best Off-Broadway productions of the year by the N.Y. Daily Times). Described by CBC as a, "bawdy, bluesy, boozy rollicking night out at the theatre," the show follows the life, loves and career of blues and jazz singer Bessie Smith, called the "Empress of the Blues."

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress for a role with relatively little screen-time in MANCHESTER BY THE SEA. As Randi Chandler, wife of protagonist Lee Chandler - played by Casey Affleck - she was able to make a strong impression displaying the couple's complex relationship with just a handful of scenes.
