Nominations for THE CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS were announced today. Fox Searchlight's THE SHAPE OF WATER leads the pack with a whopping 14 nominations. Best Picture and Director contenders included DUNKIRK, CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, LADY BIRD and THE POST, each with eight nominations.

Winners of the 27th Annual IFP GOTHAM AWARDS were announced last night at an event held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Among the top winners Luca Guadagnino's CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, which picked up the trophy for Best Feature while Jordan Peele's GET OUT received awards for Best Director and Screenplay and the Audience Award.

Jordan Peele's GET OUT tops the nominations for the 2017 GOTHAM AWARDS, Independent Filmmaker Project's annual ceremony honoring indie film. The film was recognized in the categories of Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor for Daniel Kaluuya.

The last remaining tickets are on sale for the desert's most anticipated annual star-studded concert event, Michael Childer's 'One Night Only', benefiting Jewish Family Services Of The Desert (JFS), to be held Thursday, April 20, 2017 at The McCallum Theatre. This 10th season's theme is 'Hello Jerry' and Michael and cast pay tribute to the incomparable composer Jerry Herman, bringing to the stage music form his popular musicals including Mame, Mack and Mabel, Grand Tour, La Cage Aux Folles and, of course, Hello Dolly. 'Hello Jerry' is directed by Jason Graae with musical direction by Christopher Marlowe. La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club will present the world premiere of LOVE'S REFRAIN, a new solo play by Justin Sayre from April 1-3 and 8-10. Tracing the lives of stars from nebula to supernova, Sayre extracts a fresh definition for love in his latest performance piece. Wedding personal stories with the science and poetry of astronomy, LOVE'S REFRAIN is romanticism for the modern age. The piece is directed by acclaimed visual artist Matthu Placek with costume design by Dusty Childers and a musical score by David John Sokolowski.
