The Mill at Sonning, the UK's only dinner theatre, has renamed its theatre The Ray Cooney Auditourium in honor of comedy legend Ray Cooney, whose classic farces have all been performed there, and whose incredibly generous financial support during lockdown helped ensure the venue's survival.

Headlong today announce the full cast for Hedda Tesman which will receive its world premiere at Chichester Festival Theatre before playing at The Lowry, Salford.

Allelujah! - the new play by Alan Bennett which received its world premiere at the Bridge Theatre last month - will be in cinemas on 1st November with National Theatre Live.

As rehearsals begin, casting is announced for the world premiere of Nicholas Hytner's production of Alan Bennett's Allelujah! at the Bridge Theatre.

The National Theatre hosts a special platform with the original creative team of its award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time on Thursday 1 June at 5.15pm, following the matinee performance at the Gielgud Theatre in London.  The discussion will be chaired by ITV's Arts Editor, Nina Nannar.

The National Theatre today announced two extra matinees for The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time on Tuesday 14 February and Tuesday 30 May 2017.  Curious Incident has its final West End performance at the Gielgud Theatre on Saturday 3 June 2017.

After nearly five successful years in London, the National Theatre today (9 December 2016) announced the final extension of its West End run of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, with 50,000 extra tickets on sale today.

Whoopi Goldberg joined the cast of the hit musical comedy SISTER ACT today, August 10 in the role of Mother Superior. She will perform in the show through Tuesday August 31st, playing an exclusive 23 show season. No stranger to stages around the world, the role however marks Whoopi's West End debut. Whoopi follows the hugely popular Sheila Hancock, who created the role and has played Mother Superior since the show opened in May last year. She is joined on stage by the critically acclaimed Patina Miller in the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier (Whoopi's role in the original movie), recording artist Simon Webbe as Curtis Shank and Dad's Army star Ian Lavender as Monsignor. Simon will play the role of Curtis Shank, the bad-boy lover of the story's heroine Deloris Van Cartier. Shank's various job titles include nightclub owner, gangster and love machine!
