The Philadelphia Orchestra today announced that Renée Fleming and Paul Simon will appear as its special guests for the Academy of Music 154th Anniversary Concert on Saturday, January 29, 2011.

Internationally acclaimed violin virtuoso, David Garrett, will return to Pittsburgh for one performance only on Sunday, February 20, 2011, at 8:00 p.m., at the Benedum Center.

Today Toronto Symphony Orchestra Music Director Peter Oundjian announced the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's 2011.2012 concert season, which is also the orchestra's 90th consecutive season of performances. The TSO's 90th season programmes include: three extended residencies with pianist Lang Lang, conductor/violinist Itzhak Perlman, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma; Mahler's Symphony No. 8 'Symphony of a Thousand' with an all-Canadian cast of soloists led by TSO Music Director Peter Oundjian; season opening performances of Walton's Music for the film Henry V with Christopher Plummer; a 90th Season free concert presented by Luminato; and première performances of four TSO commissions including an orchestral interpretation of Roch Carrier's classic story, The Hockey Sweater. Many of the world's finest guest artists share a long history with the TSO and perform with the orchestra in concerts throughout the 90th season, including pianist Emanuel Ax, pianist Yefim Bronfman, Canadian violinist James Ehnes, conductor/pianist Leon Fleisher, Canadian soprano Karina Gauvin, and Canadian pianist Louis Lortie. Twenty-eight solo artists make their TSO débuts in the 2011.2012 season, including saxophonist Branford Marsalis, conductor John Storgaards, trumpeter Alison Balsom, and Canadian pianist Jan Lisiecki.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association today announces the Hollywood Bowl summer 2011 subscription series for its 90th season at the historic venue.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, the Harris Theater for Music and Dance presents Fanfare for an Uncommon Woman: A Celebration of Joan W. Eight months after massive flooding caused nearly $40 million in damages to Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Nashville Symphony's concert hall will reopen to the public with a New Year's Eve concert featuring violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman and the Nashville Symphony.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Peter Oundjian will travel to Florida in January 2011 to perform a week-long series of concerts in six cities including Naples (January 9), Sarasota (January 10), Fort Lauderdale (January 11), West Palm Beach (January 12), Orlando (January 14) and Daytona Beach (January 15). The Florida tour will be the TSO's third visit to the state in the orchestra's history, and its first visit since 1999. Native Canadian and now-resident of Bradenton Florida, violinist James Ehnes will join the orchestra to perform Barber's Violin Concerto. The orchestra will also perform Torque, a 2009 TSO commission by Gary Kulesha (Lead of the TSO Composer Advisory Group), and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5. Mr. Kulesha will join the orchestra on tour and give pre-concert talks in select cities.

The Klezmatics will perform a Hanukkah concert at The Jewish Museum on Tuesday, December 7 at 7:30 pm.
