On August 29, Aaron Lazar will play his last performance as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC. Lazar's previous credits include LES MISERABLES, A TALE OF TWO CITIES, and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA.

Stephen Sondheim's upcoming book 'Finishing the Hat', will compile his lyrics from the past 50 years and give readers a look into his personal life as well as his remarkable productions. Though the book is not set to hit stores until October 26, the cover has recently been revealed to the public.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Bradley Dean (Spamalot, Company, The Story of My Life, Man of La Mancha) will replace Aaron Lazar as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC on August 31, 2010. Dean has understudied Lazar throughout the production in addition to playing the role of servant Frid. Lazar will play his last performance on August 29. Stephen R. Buntrock, who has played Mr. Lindquist since the show's opening will step into the role of Frid, while Ben Davis will join the company as the new Mr. Lindquist.

This year, the National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera ends its run at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. The Phantom of the Opera is currently the longest running show in Broadway history, and has been performed in over 100 cities worldwide.

Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Theatre Company, Inc. announced today that the third national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, known as the Music Box Company, will play its final performance on Halloween, October 31, 2010, at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Tickets for the final two weeks of the tour, which was recently extended by popular demand, go on sale to the general public this Sunday, August 29. The Music Box Company is currently playing a four-week run at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh through September 19 and will begin performances in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 23.

Goodman Theatre celebrates its 10th season in Chicago's North Loop Theatre District with a fresh take on an enduring masterpiece- Candide, Voltaire's effervescent, picaresque adventure, newly adapted and directed by Chicago's own Mary Zimmerman, the Goodman's Manilow Resident Director. Producer Orin Wolf and Off the Aisle Productions have announced that It Must Be Him, a new comedy by Kenny Solms, co-creator and writer of the legendary, Emmy Award-winning 'Carol Burnett Show,' will premiere this summer at the Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Daniel Kutner, It Must Be Him will begin performances on Tuesday, August 24, and officially open on Wednesday, September 1. The limited engagement ends Sunday, September 26.
