Ballet San Jose's new Artistic Director, José Manuel Carreño, has announced details of the 2013-2014 season including Company premieres by choreographers including Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, Ohad Naharin, Vicente Nebrada, Jorge Amarante, Igal Perry and Dwight Rhoden; two story ballets including Karen Gabay's The Nutcracker and Roland Petit's Carmen; plus the return of acclaimed and popular ballets by Jorma Elo and George Balanchine. Warner Bros. presents the world premiere of Bugs Bunny at the Symphony II at the Hollywood Bowl beginning tonight, July 5 and Saturday, July 6 at 8:00 PM featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by Emmy Award-winning creator and conductor George Daugherty. The orchestra will perform original scores by Carl W. Stalling, Milt Franklyn and Scott Bradley based on works by Wagner, Rossini, von Suppe, J. Strauss II, Smetana, and Liszt, while iconic Warner Bros. Looney Tunes are displayed on the Hollywood Bowl's brilliant new LED screens.

The National Symphony Orchestra Announces its 2013 Wolf Trap Summer Schedule

The National Symphony Orchestra today announced its 2013 line-up of performances at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Eleven performances will take place between June 26 and August 3, 2013. Emil de Cou, in his ninth season as NSO@Wolf Trap Festival Conductor, hosts 10 of the performances and conducts four, including the opening and closing performances in the series.
