The Pearl Theatre Company and Gingold Theatre Group is currently presenting Shaw's Major Barbara, running through December 14, 2014. When the charming weapons-manufacturer Andrew Undershaft goes toe-to-toe with his passionate daughter Barbara, a Major in the Salvation Army, over his 'ill-gotten' fortune, it leads to the wager of the century. WICKED author Gregory Maguire and the musical's composer Stephen Schwartz appeared in a recent on-stage conversation presented by the Mark Twain House & Museum, at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT.
