Paper Mill Playhouse lost its former Executive Producer Angelo Del Rossi on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Angelo Del Rossi helmed Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, New Jersey, for forty years. Yesterday, Angelo's husband Per Rasmussen hosted a memorial tribute at Paper Mill Playhouse where the entire theater community celebrated the life of Angelo Del Rossi. Earlier this week, Carnegie Hall presented Standard Time with Michael Feinstein 'The Bad and the Beautiful'- Celebrating David Raksin and Classic Film Songs. Michael Feinstein, backed by a 12-piece band conducted by Charles Prince, sang classic songs by some of Hollywood's greatest composers. Feinstein performed music by David Raskin, the composer of the themes for The Bad and the Beautiful, Laura, and other memorable films, as well as favorites by other great masters of music for the silver screen. This presentation of Big marks the New York premiere of the script and score created by the authors for the show's national tour-a significantly revised version of the show with eight new Maltby and Shire songs, yet to be recorded. Perez Hilton Records Song for 2014 BROADWAY'S CAROLS FOR A CURE

Celebrity gossip blogger and Broadway fan Perez Hilton has added his voice to the 2014 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 16, the annual holiday music CD which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. The song "My Simple Christmas Wish," with music and lyrics by David Friedman, was suggested for Hilton by well-known voice teacher Liz Caplan, because the song's hook is "I wanna be rich, famous and powerful…" Perez Hilton began recording every year for Broadway's Carols for a Cure in 2012, when he made his New York stage debut in the comical off-Broadway revue "NEWSical the Musical."

Bay Area Cabaret, devoted to presenting audiences with top performers who expand the definition of cabaret, launches its 11th season this fall at the Fairmont San Francisco's historic Venetian Room with an Opening Night Gala celebrating the work of songwriter/composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell, Pocahontas, Enchanted, Prince of Egypt). The evening will feature two on-stage interviews with Mr. Schwartz by ASCAP's Director of Musical Theatre Michael Kerker, and performances by Today Night Live's Ana Gasteyer, who performed the role of 'Elphaba' in Wicked on Broadway, and by two masterful interpreters of Schwartz' work, Liz Callaway and Michael McCorry Rose. On The Town will begin previews on Saturday, September 20, 2014 and officially open on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Broadway's Lyric Theatre (213 W 42nd St, New York, NY 10036).
