Broadway/San Diego ~ A Nederlander Presentation is delighted to announce a very special addition to the 2010-2011 Season roster! For one afternoon only, the rabid fans of A Prairie Home Companion with host Garrison Keillor will be able to become part of their beloved show in a Live Broadcast at San Diego Civic Theatre, on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:45PM. For those lucky San Diegans for whom there cannot be enough time spent in Lake Wobegon, there is a special Premium Ticket that includes an opportunity to attend rehearsal from noon - 1:30PM and an APHC Fan Reception between the rehearsal and the show (limited availability). Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, November 15 at 10AM.

The Museum of Modern Art presents a weeklong theatrical run of recent work by the San Francisco-based filmmaker Jay Rosenblatt, October 13-18, 2010. A compilation of 5 films, the 70 minute program includes the New York premiere of The Darkness of Day (2009), a stoic yet tender meditation on suicide, and the award-winning Phantom Limb (2005), a haunting expression of loss and grief.

BROADWAY MELODY MAKERS on Friday October 15th at 8PM, was directed by Scott Coulter, with musical direction by Ross Patterson. The cast also includes Tony Award ® winners Alice Ripley (Next to Normal, Sideshow) and Michael Cerveris (Assasins), along with Nellie McKay (Threepenny Opera), Tom Wopat (Annie Get Your Gun, A Catered Affair), and Mary Testa (Xanadu, On the Town). The concert featured songs by Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Richard Rodgers, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, and so many others down through the decades to the likes of Jule Styne and Cy Coleman, among others.

Performing as part of THE TOWN HALL's Sixth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival was Betty Buckley on Saturday, October 16th at 8:00 PM. Buckley is one of only a handful of women who can be referred to as a real Broadway star and a true legend. Tony Award winner and three-time Grammy nominee, she has acted in films, starred on television, and on Broadway. Buckley made her Broadway debut in 1969 and has been called 'The Voice of Broadway' by New York Magazine. Her rendition of 'Memory' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, established her reputation. She has recorded 12 solo albums and now tours extensively across the U.S. each year. She is also a composer; her first recording contains mostly songs she wrote.

TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, has finalized its four-play 2010-11 season. The Chicago premiere of In Darfur by Winter Miller, directed by Nick Bowling, joins three previously released titles: The Chicago premiere of Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, the world premiere of Mastering the Art by William Brown and Doug Frew, and The Front Page by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.
