The Town Hall presents the Fourth Annual Summer Broadway Festival created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall. Presented on three consecutive Monday nights in July at 8PM are BROADWAY WINNERS: THE AWARD-WINNING MUSIC OF BROADWAY! on July 12th, BROADWAY'S RISING STARS on July 19th, and ALL SINGIN' ALL DANCIN' on July 26th. The evenings will feature music and dance coupled with witty insider tidbits, all performed by Broadway's finest. Tickets for BROADWAY WINNERS and ALL SINGIN' ALL DANCIN' are $50 and $40. Tickets for BROADWAY'S RISING STARS are $30 and $25. Angela Brown Performs 'Opera from a Sistah's Point of View' at Indiana University, 7/30

Internationally known opera star Angela Brown, who honed her craft at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, is on a mission: the down-to-earth soprano with the voice of an angel seeks to bring opera to the masses. Brown will return to Bloomington for a July 30, 8 p.m. performance of her witty solo show, 'Opera from a Sistah's Point of View,' at the Musical Arts Center. Cliff Jackson will accompany her on piano.

Dale Gutzman, founder and artistic director of Off The Wall Theatre, is returning to Skylight Opera Theatre to premier his new work, An Evening with Gilbert & Sullivan. Gutzman not only wrote the show but will also be directing it. He is no stranger to the Skylight, having directed twenty-three shows in the 1970s and 80s.

Offering up greater variety, including more than 50 debuts from Sting to Wagnerian tenor John Treleaven, Ravinia Festival Chairperson Pamela B. Strobel and President and CEO Welz Kauffman today announced details of the 2010 season, including a Chicago Symphony Orchestra residency that celebrates major anniversaries of Mahler, Chopin, Schumann, Barber, Bernstein and Copland, as well as milestone birthdays of Music Director James Conlon, Christoph Eschenbach and Stephen Sondheim. The season, featuring 117 separate events, runs from June 3 through September 7.
