A Red Orchid Theatre continues its 22nd Season with the Chicago premiere of Red Handed Otter, written by Ethan Lipton and directed by Dado. The production runs April 9 - May 24, 2015 at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. The press opening is Monday, April 13, 2015 at 7 p.m.

The Public Theater announced the line-up for the popular Spotlight Series of free staged readings of new plays by The Public's Emerging Writers Group, beginning on Tuesday, April 7 and running through Tuesday, May 26 at the Sheen Center Black Box Theater (18 Bleecker Street). Now in its seventh year, the Emerging Writers Group is an important part of The Public's commitment and long legacy of supporting current and future generations of our country's most important writers.

Five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb has announced the line-up for SUMMERWORKS, its annual series of new plays. As part of New York Voices, the artist commissioning program of Joe's Pub at The Public, iconoclast singer-songwriter Martha Redbone brings forth an epic, unexpected and personal American journey in Bone Hill, a new musical theater work featuring original music by Redbone and Aaron Whitby, and co-written and directed by Roberta Uno. Tonight, February 11, 13 and 14, 2015 at 7:00PM, Redbone will perform a concert of songs from the work-in-progress at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette, NYC), with an all-star band in tow.

This February, Joe's Pub at The Public presents a slate of shows to romance and titillate in honor of Valentine's Day. From today, February 10, through February 14 , every night will feature at least one show celebrating love and lust, including alt-pop singer Rachael Sage, cabaret goddess Bridget Everett, a night of Michael Jackson and Prince love songs led by Toshi Reagon, fiery soul star XAVIER and friends, the tantalizing Brown Girls Burlesque and the V-day edition of Never Sleep Alone.
