This February, Joe's Pub at The Public presents a slate of shows to romance and titillate in honor of Valentine's Day. From February 10-14 , every night will feature at least one show celebrating love and lust, including alt-pop singer Rachael Sage, cabaret goddess Bridget Everett, a night of Michael Jackson and Prince love songs led by Toshi Reagon, fiery soul star XAVIER and friends, the tantalizing Brown Girls Burlesque and the V-day edition of Never Sleep Alone. Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra Kick Off Yearlong Residency with NO PLACE TO GO Tonight

Ethan Lipton & his Orchestra return to Joe's Pub at The Public for a yearlong residency, wherein they will perform a different show every month -- no two will be the same -- starting in January 2015. Lipton will kick off the residency tonight, Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30PM with an encore performance of his show No Place to Go, which The Public Theater presented as part of the 2012 season.

This month, ?Joe's Pub at The Public presents showcases from a range of artists including writer Dan Hoyle to orchestral indie band Mother Falcon to downtown darling Erin Markey to a slew of French jazz musicians, as part of the Paris Jazz Club's French Quarter Festival, coinciding with APAP|NYC, the annual Association of Performing Artists Presenters conference. The performances will occur nightly from tonight, January 8 through Tuesday, January 13.

The Public Theater announced the return of Public Forum's holiday tradition, a one-night-only Drama Club reading and discussion of THE LONG CHRISTMAS DINNER on Sunday, December 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Joe's Pub at The Public. Just in time for the holidays, this exciting evening will feature a reading of Thornton Wilder's 1931 one-act featuring Tarell Alvin McCraney, Ethan Lipton, Andrew Solomon, and Tappan Wilder. Wilder's ingenious, heartbreaking play traces 90 years in the life of an American family, and will spark a discussion about family and storytelling in a society that's rapidly accelerating.

Joe's Pub at The Public announces the official launch of Joe's Pub Artists-in-Residence (JPAIR), a yearlong program devoted to enriching the sustainability and growth of New York-based emerging and established artists' careers. By providing administrative resources, physical space and curatorial services, JPAIR seeks to offer not just practical support but also cultivate a community atmosphere wherein those artists can develop new and ongoing work.
