? Since Joe's Pub at The Public opened its doors in 1998, it has been a stomping ground for both the masterful legends and powerful young voices of music and the performing arts. This winter (November 2014-February 2015), Joe's welcomes a slate of emerging musicians, performers and artists including soulful French-Cuban twin sister duo Ibeyi, critically acclaimed performance artist Kalup Linzy, cabaret charmer Ali Grieb and more on the cusp of major careers. Joe's Pub at The Public presents Largo, a night of song from the legendary concept album, tonight, October 30 at 7:00PM. Largo was produced and written in 1998 by Rick Chertoff and Rob Hyman, with co-writing by David Forman and Eric Bazilian. This show is the first step in re-envisioning the iconic work for the theater. Tickets are $25 and available online, by phone (212-967-7555) and at The Public's box office (425 Lafayette, NYC) now.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, October 19 at 9:30 PM for the continuation of its landmark 6th season. The October show will include a tribute to the Broadway and Hollywood star Julie Andrews, with special guests Katie Thompson, Gabrielle Stravelli, Kim Smith, Danielle Grabianowski, Rob Maitner, Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Due to popular demand, a seventh show has been added to Betty Buckley's weeklong run at Joe's Pub at The Public - today, October 7-11, 2014. The stage and screen star will perform new music to celebrate her new album Ghostlight (September 16, Palmetto Records), which was produced by her longtime friend and fellow music legend T Bone Burnett.

Over the last year, Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir have applied their signature musical activism to counteracting big corporations' role in climate disruption. By turns attracting acclaim and threats of jail time, Reverend Billy and the singers, led by director Savitri D. and musical director Nehemiah Luckett, have performed in investment banks, pollinator drone labs, Walmart back aisles and waist deep in the surf off Coney Island to dramatize the sea level rise from climate change. They conclude this banner year with Monsanto Is the Devil, which they will perform with the five-piece Not Buying It Band at Joe's Pub at The Public (425 Lafayette St, NYC) on five consecutive Sundays this holiday season.
