The Hollywood Reporter writes that Nick Eversman has joined the cast of the upcoming James Brown biopic directed by Tate Taylor (The Help). He will play Mick Jagger, who is co-producing the film with Brian Grazer, Erica Huggins and Victoria Pearman.?

Ellis will portray Brown's 'longtime friend and musical collaborator' Bobby Byrd in the film, which also stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer.

According to Deadline, Taylor has selected THE HELP's leading ladies Viola Davis and Octavia Davis to star in his upcoming James Brown biopic GET ON UP for Universal Pictures.
