Netflix announces five features and one short premiering at SFFILM 2018 (April 4-17 in San Francisco, CA).

Netflix Announces Films, Documentaries and Doc Shorts at SFFILM 2018: Feature Films Kodachrome, Alex Strangelove and Manhunt;  Original Documentary Features Mercury 13 and Shirkers; Original Documentary Short End Game. All titles will launch globally on Netflix in 2018.

The New Group has announced a second extension for the New York premiere production of David Rabe's Good for Otto, which will now play its final performance on Sunday, April 15.  Due to demand, the company previously announced a one week extension through April 8.

Good For Otto opened last night, March 8, at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street). Originally set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement through April 1, this production now plays through Sunday, April 8.

THE GRADUATE will begin previews on Wednesday, February 21 and will open on Sunday, March 4 at 5:30pm.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO's WESTWORLD is coming back for season two with the official name of the new park to be 'Shogun World'. The unofficial name until this time has been 'Samurai World'. The new world is set to expand the WESTWORLD universe in the forthcoming second season.

Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Westworld is coming to Austin! To celebrate the return of the hit series Westworld (Sunday, April 22, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), HBO is building an entire town from the ground up for an immersive experience exclusively for South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals badge holders. Open for three days only - Friday, March 9, through Sunday, March 11 - the Westworld-themed park will feature reproduced versions of iconic locations and elements from the hit HBO series, including the luxury hotel The Coronado and the Mariposa Saloon.

Sentinel Pictures and XYZ Films announced today that Amber Heard has been cast as the lead in the romantic thriller RUN AWAY WITH ME, directed by Fred Grivois. Based on an original screenplay by Matthew Ian Cirulnick and produced by Adam Brawer and David Beitchman of Sentinel Pictures, the film will be executive produced by Nate Bolotin and Aram Tertzakian of XYZ with Raphaël Rocher of Empreinte Cinema also serving as an executive producer. RUN AWAY WITH ME is scheduled for production later this year with XYZ handling worldwide sales at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin. Sentinel Pictures acquired this as an original pitch by Cirulnick and they developed it together.

Redhouse Arts Center is thrilled to inaugurate its new City Center home with Ernest Thompson's classic On Golden Pond. Performances will take place March 8-18, 2018 and will mark the first performances at the brand new Redhouse at City Center, located at 400 South Salina Street, which boasts three new theatres, an attached parking garage, full service concession, larger lobby space, and much, much more. The show will feature actor and TV star Fred Grandy, lovingly know as "Gopher" by his millions of fans around the world who watched him on the long-running TV Series The Love Boat. On Golden Pond was adapted to an academy award winning movie in 1981 which starred Henry Fonda who won the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Actor in what was his final film role. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the second workshop in the series How to Wrote a Musical That Works, Conflict & Obstacles, onSunday, February 25, 2018 from 10am - 6pm at NOLA Rehearsal Studio, 244 W 54th St., 5th floor, Studio 5. Murray Abraham, Kate Buddeke, Laura Esterman, Nancy Giles, Lily Gladstone, Ed Harris, Charlotte Hope, Mark Linn-Baker, Amy Madigan, Rileigh McDonald, Kenny Mellman, Maulik Pancholy and Michael Rabe in the New York premiere of David Rabe's Good for Otto. Rhea Perlman will appear in the role of Nora, as Rosie O'Donnell, previously announced, is unable to appear due to illness.
