Douglas Morrisson Theatre to Host Holiday Open House, 12/19

On December 19, 2015, from 1:00 to 4:00pm, the Douglas Morrisson Theatre will host an open house to welcome the community inside for some good cheer and fun in celebration of the holiday season. Come make merry with DMT! Santa Claus will be in residence all afternoon and children of all ages are invited to stop by and share their wish lists. Enjoy tours of the theatre, warm cider and cookies, carol singing, seasonal stories, and much more!

Morrisson Theatre Chorus to Perform Holiday Concert, 12/10-13

The Morrisson Theatre Chorus, under the musical direction of Cesar Cancino, will present its Holiday Concert: Special Songs for a Special Time of the Year on December 10, December 11 and December 12 at 8:00pm and December 13 at 2:00pm. The Holiday Concert will feature a selection of Classical Sacred works, Popular Holiday songs, Jazz and Gospel, as well as audience sing-a-long pieces.

The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District's Douglas Morrisson Theatre in Hayward is proud to announce it largest ever donation, a gift just under $960,000, from The Leggo Family Trust. Kathleen Leggo, who died April 2, 2002, served as the Douglas Morrisson Theatre's property master for 18 years. Her portion of the Family Trust was allocated to the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District for the benefit of the Douglas Morrisson Theatre.
