WPIX Channel 11, Tribune Broadcasting's WB Television Network affiliate (a.k.a. The WB11), has begun shooting 'The 2005 New York Musical Theatre Festival,' a half-hour special report on the ambitious efforts of the eponymous annual festival, now in its second year.

The 50th Annual Drama Desk Awards Ceremony took place on Sunday, May 22. The big winners of the night were Doubt and The Light in the Piazza, each of whom received 5 awards. Outstanding Musical however, went to Spamalot.
