Fasten your seat belts and prepare for takeoff - NBC's TODAY show is leaving New York City for a weeklong American adventure. Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and Willie Geist will pack their bags and head to five different U.S. destinations in five days. TODAY's Great American Adventure begins Monday, May 20.

For the week of March 11, NBC's TODAY continues to post growth. For the third consecutive week, TODAY has narrowed the total viewer gap with GMA. Over the past 11 weeks (12/31/12 - 3/17/13), TODAY has narrowed the demo gap with GMA by 43% (43,000) versus the prior STD period. TODAY has placed first in the key demo (rating) in 13 of the last 19 weeks (including 12 ties).

NBC's TODAY was the number-one morning show for the week of January 21 in the key demo A25-54 and was the only morning program to post week-to-week gaines in total viewers (+40k). TODAY also continues to post notable long term growth in the key demo and total viewers. Over the past five weeks, TODAY has led GMA by +27k viewers in A25-54, a giant +127% (+126k) turnaround versus the prior STD period, which TODAY had viewer deficit. For the week, TODAY posted its best key demo and total viewer deliveries since the week of November 5, 2012.

NBC's TODAY continues to post long term growth in total viewers and the key demo A25-54. Over the past four weeks, TODAY has led GMA by +34k viewers in A25-54, a giant +134% (+133k) turnaround versus the prior STD period, which TODAY had a -99k viewer deficit. TODAY also shrunk the demo gap last week by 77% versus its season-to-date levels. In total viewers, TODAY grew +3% (+127k viewers) week-to-week, and posted its best delivery since the week of November 5, 2012.

This February, the TODAY show anchors will be leaving the Big Apple behind for surprise Friday field trips. Each week, two members of the TODAY show team will travel to a new city to broadcast special split editions of the show. Each Monday in February, TODAY will announce which anchors will be packing their bags, and where they will end up.
