The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus will present the world premiere musical Waitress. Based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shellythe new musical has a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock. Second Stage Theatre 2015 Uptown Series' acclaimed production of KING LIZ has been extended by one week and will now play through Saturday, August 15.  Written by Fernanda Coppel (Chimichangas and Zoloft) and directed by Lisa Peterson, KING LIZ features MICHAEL CULLEN, JEREMIE HARRIS, RUSSELL G. JONES, CAROLINE LAGERFELT, IRENE SOFIA LUCIO and KAREN PITTMAN. 

PIPPIN will play Seattle's Paramount Theatre from August 16 - August 23, 2015. Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews' INVISIBLE THREAD, formerly titled WITNESS UGANDA, is headed on the trip of a lifetime before it lands back in the States for its off-Broadway premiere at Second Stage this fall. The cast has surpassed its $45,000 crowdfunding goal and will be traveling to Uganda to connect with the students that inspired the show. Second Stage Theatre continues the 2015 Uptown Series with the World Premiere of King Liz, written by Fernanda Coppel (Chimichangas and Zoloft) and directed by Lisa Peterson. King Liz will feature MICHAEL CULLEN, JEREMIE HARRIS, RUSSELL G. JONES, CAROLINE LAGERFELT, IRENE SOFIA LUCIO, and KAREN PITTMAN. Previews began Monday, July 13th, for opening night tonight, July 27th, 2015.

PIPPIN will play a limited engagement at The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN November 17 - 22. Transcendence Theatre Company, now in its 4th season presenting summer concerts in Sonoma Wine Country, is perhaps best known for 'Broadway Under the Stars,' an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Los Angeles and New York - artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances. More than a standard musical revue, each show weaves popular Broadway songs into a spectacular themed performance presented in the open-air 150-year-old Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

The American Repertory Theater expands its 2015/16 Season programming with the OBERON Presents series, featuring a range of artists, companies, and programs. As the second stage of the A.R.T., a unique club theater venue, OBERON challenges artists to explore new relationships with space, performance, and audience experience. OBERON hosts a range of experimental work -- these shows invite audiences to listen to new voices and to hear old stories in new ways. This exploration is integral to A.R.T.'s mission to expand the boundaries of theater.

The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC), the largest multi-arts festival in North America, will present the 19th Annual Festival from August 14 - 30, 2015. This year the festival will present programming by 185 of the world's best emerging theatre troupes and dance companies in 16 venues in downtown Manhattan. With attendance topping 75,000 people, FringeNYC is New York City's fifth largest event (just behind New York International Auto Show, Tribeca Film Festival, New York City Marathon, and New York Comic Con). Tickets go on sale today -- Friday, July 17, 2015.
