'Treason or Reason' is part of HERO Theatre's Classic Film Project, world premiere scenes inspired by classic films performed live on a historical soundstage today, September 7th, 2013 in Los Angeles for two shows only.

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off its 2013-2014 season with the OBIE Award-winning 4,000 Miles by Amy Herzog on October 11-November 10 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Mary B. Robinson, the ensemble cast features Beth Dixon, Leigha Kato, Davy Raphaely, and Shannon Sullivan.

The Young Vic and Catherine Schreiber present the UK premiere of The Scottsboro Boys, directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman. The production stars original Broadway cast members Colman Domingo, who reprises his Tony Award nominated role of Mr. Bones, and Forrest McClendon, who plays Mr. Tambo. Off-Broadway's Vineyard Theatre -- where the hit comedy musical Avenue Q got its start -- is expanding its presence in London this summer and fall, according to an article by WhatsOnStage.

Charlie Hofheimer, also known as Abe Drexler on AMC's 'Mad Men' joins the cast of HERO Theatre's 'Classic Film Project'. Hofheimer will star in 'Non Mi Scordo...with a Shmear' written by Danny Hoch. Ric Salinas of 'Culture Clash' will also star in the event in 'Treason or Reason' written by Larry Charles. The 'Classic Film Project' consists of scenes inspired by classic films.

The Public Theater announced the September line-up today for NEW WORK NOW!, the free reading series that allows audiences an opportunity to experience new work by a diverse selection of established and emerging theater artists. NEW WORK NOW! will run September 9 to September 21 in The Public's Martinson Theater (425 Lafayette Street). They will be presented live and written by Quiara Alegria Hudes (Pulitzer winning "Water By the Spoonful" and "In the Heights"), film/TV director and writer Larry Charles (Borat, Bruno, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Colman Domingo (Public Theater's "Wild With Happy"), Susan Blackburn Award-Winner Jennifer Haley, Luis Alfaro, Ricardo A. Bracho, Juri Henley-Cohn, Francesco DeSantis, Tamar Halpern, Danny Hoch, Carmen Rivera, Ethan Sandler, Candido Tirado and Annie Weisman. Directors include Michael-John Garces, Yetta Gottesman, Diane Rodriguez and Tina Sanchez. The scenes will be performed by members of HERO Theatre's acting ensemble alongside special guest artists.

The official announcement was made Monday night at a garden party at The Courtyard at the Hartley House, with a wine tasting sponsored by a cellar full of noise, included appearances by Mike Daisey, Colman Domingo and BD Wong, and special guests including Tom Hewitt and Nilaja Sun. Award-winning solo performer Ben Rimalower presented Eva Price with the Pioneer Award, recognizing individuals and companies who have forged the way for solo theatre. The third annual All For One Theatre Festival will play a limited engagement at Cherry Lane Studio Theater (38 Commerce Street, NY). Performances begin Friday, Oct 11 and continue through Saturday, Nov 9.

TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the hilarious new play WILD WITH HAPPY written by and starring award-winning playwright Colman Domingo. The production plays previews tonight, June 5 to Friday, June 7, 2013, with a press opening on Saturday, June 8, 2013. WILD WITH HAPPY will close on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

According to The Stage, original Broadway cast members Colman Domingo and Forrest McClendon will reprise their roles of Mr Bones and Mr Tambo respectively, in The Scottsboro Boys at the Young Vic this Fall. The production is set to run October 18 through November 23.

The 2013 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were handed last night to recipients in 14 categories and 4 special honors were bestowed.
