Join acclaimed composer and musician Jeff Haas and his quintet for a special night of jazz, classical and world music celebrating the 100th birthday of internationally known radio host Karl Haas.

According to The New York Times, Broadway favorite Howard McGillin and his longtime parter Richard Samson tied the knot last week in Manhattan. The couple announced their engagement in July. BroadwayWorld sends our congratulations to the happy couple!

Jeremy Greenbaum (The Fantasticks) and Aaron Komo complete the cast of Prospect Theater Company's upcoming world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson, book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen and direction by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). Previously announced cast members include Margo Seibert (set to make her Broadway debut as 'Adrian' in ROCKY on Broadway in Spring 2014) as Tamar, with Ako (Throne of Blood), Erik Lochtefeld (February House), Mike Longo (Hair) and Vince B. Vincent (Geography of Loss), and Jen Anaya, Adam Bashian, Margot Bassett, Troy Burton, Tamrin Goldberg and Mary Kate Morrissey.

About nine months before Noel Coward left this earth, an autobiographical revue that told the story of his life premiered at the Mermaid Theatre in London on July 10, 1972 as part of the 1972 City of London Festival. The production, directed by Wendy Toye and starring Patricia Routledge, Derek Waring, Elaine Delamr, Una Stubbs, Geoffrey Burridge, among others, ran for 405 performances. The show featured songs and scenes that spanned Noel Coward's career, including material from the 20s to the 60s. The original cast recorded a comprehensive 2 disc LP that was released by RCA in 1972, and now Masterworks Broadway has reissued the album for the digital age. Featuring 106 minutes of material spread across 2 CDs, I found the listening experience entirely trying and agitating.

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's Award-Winning Professional Theatre Company, is pleased to announce the 2013/2014 MainStage Season. Between November 2013 and May 2014, MTC MainStage will present three fully-staged professional productions: 'Master Class,' 'God of Carnage' and 'The Fantasticks.' Performances will take place in the one-of-a-kind Off-Broadway-style 50-seat studio, providing the audience with an intimate theatregoing experience, and each performance is followed by a complimentary wine and cheese reception. The Elios Charitable Foundation announced today the program and honorees for the highly anticipated 9th Hellenic Charity Ball, to be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Westin St. Francis on Union Square (335 Powell Street, San Francisco). One of San Francisco's most star-studded events, the biennial gala pays tribute to distinguished arts and entertainment luminaries in the Greek-American community and is the principal source of funding for the Elios Charitable Foundation. This year's honorees include San Francisco Symphony trumpet player, Chris Bogios and his son, Counting Crows drummer, Jim Bogios; internationally acclaimed tenor, Mario Frangoulis; and American film producer, Stratton Leopold. 2009 Hellenic Charity Ball Honoree,Marilu Henner, will be the evening's emcee.
