One year after restoring connections to its roots as a downtown movie palace, the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University has announced successes from its first year of operation featuring the historic venue’s new Digital Cinema Projection (DCP) projector and larger Stewart cinema screen.

John Lloyd Young, the Tony and Grammy Award-winning original star of Jersey Boys on Broadway and the Clint Eastwood-directed Warner Bros film, will bring a set of Broadway and West End showstoppers to the Crazy Coqs, July 2-4.

The Mayfly, an animated short film by Tony Award-winning stage and screen icon Betty Buckley, who has created, written, and narrated the short, will screen at the 2024 Tribeca Festival June 5-16, 2024. The Mayfly is the story of Megalyn Mayfly, who goes against all expectations and dedicates her short life to music and dance. Her quest takes her from Central Park West to the Upper East Side's Carlyle Hotel where she dances her final opus at the elegant Cafe Carlyle. Animated traditionally in 2D, The Mayfly is a love letter to music and New York City.

LOVECOLOR is the musical project of Ryan Carnes (Desperate Housewives, Cupid for Christmas, Doctor Who) and singer, songwriter and producer Vanessa Silberman. Blue Strawberry Showroom and Lounge welcomes a pair of Tony winning actors and a Tony nominee in the coming months. Melissa Errico, Alice Ripley, and John Lloyd Young will bring their cabaret shows to the club in mid-town St. Louis. Errico, a 2008 Tony nominee, will perform her show of Sondheim classics on April 26th and 27th. Young, the Tony winner for Lead Actor in a Musical for his role as Franki Valli in JERSEY BOYS, performs on May 8th and 9th.
