THE BAY COLONY SHAKESPEARE COMPANY, the fastest-growing professional theatre company on the South Shore of Boston, today announced the appointment of Eric Joseph, 56, to the position of President and Executive Director. Mr. Joseph joins the BCSC after returning from New York City as the Senior Vice President of Sponsorship and Marketing for Clear Channel Entertainment and Broadway Across America, where he was responsible for securing and overseeing sponsorship and marketing extensions of Clear Channel's Broadway investments and subsequent tours in over 50 markets. Mr. Joseph, a Marshfield resident raised in Cohasset, MA, will assume responsibility for the funding and administration of the BCSC immediately and takes the reins from retiring Founder and Artistic Director, Neil McGarry, who is departing the area with his family. Mr. McGarry will return to perform his one-man version of "A Christmas Carol" over the 2016 holidays and continue to work as an actor with the BCSC when in the area.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Miles Wilkin will both be honored with the 2016 Special Tony Awards.

Managing Director Dean R. Gladden announced today that Katie Jackman has been appointed to join the Alley Theatre as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Katie Jackman is currently the Director of External Relations at Seattle Repertory Theatre and will begin in her new position on May 11, 2015. She joins the Alley Theatre with over 15 years experience marketing non-profit and commercial theaters.

The 5th Avenue Theatre welcomes Patrick Harrison back to Seattle as the organization's new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Harrison's appointment concludes an international search for a seasoned professional in the world of arts and entertainment marketing. The T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research has announced that six-time GRAMMY winner and Multi-Platinum selling artist, Carrie Underwood will be honored at its 38th Annual Honors Gala on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 with the 2013 Artist Achievement Award. The gala will be held at the legendary Cipriani in New York. Joop Van Den Ende and Henk Kivits have jointly agreed that Mr Kivits will step down as CEO of Stage Entertainment Group today, 31 July 2013. Mr Kivits decided not to accept Joop Van Den Ende's offer to extend his contract as CEO of the interNational Theatre Company by an additional two years. Kivits has been CEO since 1 August 2007.
