Christine Andreas, Emily Skinner & More Set for BROADWAY MUSICALS OF 1961, 3/11

Two-time Tony Nominee Christine Andreas, Tony Nominee Emily Skinner, Drama Desk Nominees Kerry O'Malley and Jeffry Denman, and two-time Nightlife Award Winner Scott Coulter will star in The Broadway Musicals of 1961 at Town Hall on Monday, March 11th at 8 PM. The critically-acclaimed new Broadway by the Year Chorus will join them in performing songs from Carnival, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Subways Are For Sleeping, Sail Away, Milk and Honey, and more! The concert will be directed and choreographed by Jeffry Denman; the Broadway by the Year Chorus is under the direction of Scott Coulter; musical direction will be by Ross Patterson. The show, as always, will be written and hosted by series creator Scott Siegel.

The national tour of Roundabout Theatre Company's ANYTHING GOES, the new Broadway revival of Cole Porter's timeless classic musical theatre masterpiece, will make its Memphis premiere tonight, February 26th-March 3rd at The Orpheum Theatre as part of the 2012-2013 Broadway Series.

Directed by Tea Alagic from the English translation by Gitta Honegger, Jackie opens Tuesday, March 5, at 7:30pm at Women's Project Theater's new home, New York City Center Stage II, 131 West 55th Street.

Producers announced today that Ryan Silverman (Passion, The Phantom of the Opera) and Hannah Elless (Godspell, Mamma Mia!) will star as Richard Collier and Elise McKenna in Portland Center Stage's (PCS) upcoming world-premiere production of the new musical Somewhere in Time, based on the novel by renowned author Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, What Dreams May Come) and the subsequent hit film starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour and Christopher Plummer.

Theatre couple Leslie Kritzer and Vadim Feichtner will tie the knot tomorrow, February 22 in a private ceremony in the Grand Tier Mezzanine Lobby of NY's City Center. Leslie and Vadim met there in the lobby at the closing night party for the Encores! production of On The Town in November 2008.

CYNTHIA-REEVES Projects announces the completion of Beth Galston's Sound Wave, a 120' long site-specific sculpture, inspired by a musical staff of five bars and the undulating shape of a sound wave, commissioned by the Music City Center in Nashville, TN. Computer-controlled LED lights affixed to serpentine ribbons of metal suggest musical notes, creating a synthesized and interactive visual melody. The piece is expected for final installation, at Music City Center's 6th Avenue concourse and lobby, in the spring of 2013.
