After winning big at this year's GRAMMYs, visiting the White House, planning a U.S. national tour and prepping international outings, Broadway's HAMILTON has reached yet another milestone -- going gold.

Next week, the first of 20,000 New York City public school students will see HAMILTON, thanks to a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation.

Today was the first live show of the spring and Lin-Manuel Miranda welcomed a man who 'moved mountains' to make it all happen- Mayor Bill de Blasio.

As previously reported by BroadwayWorld, the producers of Hamilton recently sent out a casting notice specifying they are 'looking for non-white men and women, ages 20s to 30s, for both the Broadway production and upcoming national tours. No theatre experience necessary.' Representatives for the production say the language used was approved by Actors' Equity, and the show's producers have just released the following statement on the issue.
